How does homosexuality harm society, exactly? Don't get me wrong. I'm not defending homosexuality, nor do I care for/about it, but how does it harm society?

People were given feelings for a reason. When homogays insult your feelings by being gay in public you have a legit reason to get pissed. It's like if someone dumped a truckload of shit in a nearby park. Sure it doesn't harm society, and it's even good for them trees and whatnot, but it stinks and that's a fact. When gays are secretly gay in the secluded comfort of their bedrooms they're not really harming anyone. Why not let the freaks console each other in the backpassage while they walk hand in hand (they're not really allowed to actually hold hands, though) towards death without offspring, the climax of the evolutionary futility of their anally fulfilled lives.

How does one define the parameters of a unit of society? Society itself is hard enough to define; let alone its inner workings and nuances. Since society is so abstract, how can you objectively measure it and its institutions without your worldview getting in the way? You live in it, after all.

Why should it matter? While homosexuality is certainly strange, homosexuals themselves don't actually hurt anyone in the process of their faggotry.

Don't even bring up the pride parades. Blaming homosexuals for pride parades is like blaming white people for the actions of Dylann Roof in Charleston.

There are people who set trends that started as socially unacceptable, which wound up changing the world for the better. To reiterate, I don't think homosexuality is one of them, but this logic doesn't work.

How are people brought into society? They are born into a family. Before there were nations or cities or even towns there were families. The family is the basic unit of society, do some research before you attack this point.

Homosexuals do not directly hurt people, other than their children. Personally I don't care if two dudes want to spend their lives together, they just should not raise children.
You're right, homosexuality is strange. There must be a reason why that occurs, same as any other trait a person has. Research has linked homosexuality to epigenetics, or changes in genetics brought about by the environment. Homosexuality is also on the rise. What is different in our environment? We must locate and identify the cause of this trend so that we may use it to help all people, not just reform gays.

There is no way to prove or disprove an idea such as "basic unit of society." It's liberal arts, academic abstraction. It's like calling gender and sex separate concepts.

Also, if it turns out that homosexuality is caused by external environmental circumstances, then it is a medical issue rather than a social one. However, homosexuality itself is harmless so there's no need to research it unless everyone starts turning gay and birthrates plummet. Which is unlikely.

Society is an aggregate of humans living in community with each other. That's it. Now, if you can imagine life outside of modern society, what would be the smallest, most basic, feasible unit of society? It is the family.

I already gave you clear reasons why it should be researched, regardless of it being harmful. Again, homosexuality is harmful because it ruins the integrity of the family which is the basic unit of society. Repeating that homosexuality is harmless to yourself over and over will not change that fact.

There is a huge difference though.

In an extended family the grandparents and elderly help raise the kids with the mother.

If gays were to "adopt" in an extended family setting they wouldn't be raising them.

I made a thread asking how homosexuality harms society? When making a point, one typically provides proof.

No it doesn't. People can and do still have families. There is nothing that homosexuals do or have done that can be construed as harming the integrity of the family unit.

They wouldnt even be able to adopt outside of modern society . You're assuming that the elderly would even be around to help outside of modern society. You're also assuming that the extended family model has any relevance in modern society. In an extended family there would be multiple pairs of father's and mothers raising their children with support from the unmarried and others. We moved on from that extended family model because modern society eliminates the need for it, but even then families are still connected and interdependent today. So the nuclear family thing is a moot point.

Every child will always need a mother and a father.
