In Australia having a degree (any degree) is a HUGEEEEE bonus when looking for jobs, any jobs. Someone with a degree just looks better than someone who doesn't.
I feel like by saying "uni is pointless unless you do X or Y" that you're really talking shit and just doing that typical autistic thing that people do when they're on the internet nit-picking everything because they have nothing better to do.
