He also battled his own brother who converted to islame. Vlad was probably fucked but ottomans too I'm not sure. His brother was for sure as he was very handsome to the rulers son. Vlad may have been but didn't convert and let all this hate build up and learned brutality from ottomans. Overall, a very scary guy. It's better to be feared then loved I guess.
