The people that know more about economics than I do have spoken, they think Trump is a disaster and that Bernie, while unelectable, actually knows what he's on about.
Also Bernie's economic adviser is his brother - while this is a bit nepotistic, if I recall correctly, his brother is an Economics professor at Harvard. Between the two of them, there's some chance they know what they're doing.
