truck driving can be for people like me?

I am a weak, shy, skinny nerd and i wonder if trucking is a option for me, traveling OTR looks interesting as fuck but when i look at those drivers they are all of them rude fat alpha males.

Trucking will help you overcome shyness. When you're a trucker you make around 10-40 first impressions per day (cashiers, gas station attendants and whatnot) which helps you overcome the initial fear of approaching people.

Starting school for my CDL in two weeks. But only cause I'm fucking unemployed and bored, and it's free, except for paying for my license endorsements and medical card. Honestly though, I'd rather commit suicide than drive OTR. They're basically sweatshops on wheels. You make about 3.50 per hour if you count all the hours you live in your truck. Go get two shit service jobs instead. You'll make more money, and at least get to sleep in your own bed every night.

I came in fat already, but if you think about it its not any different than sitting in office chairs all day.. except the truck chair is more comfortable... the issue is the food. truck stop food, buffet, fast food. so best bet if to try and get a refrigerator or a cooler with a fan on it and bring your own.. or you will fall down the same rabbit hole as the rest of us

With these shit trucking jobs now, you will live in that fucking thing for 5-6 weeks at a time, 24-7. You can't leave the truck, so you are an unpaid security guard for 10 hours a day. So yeah, 3.50 an hour is kinda generous. Also, 1000 a week isn't really that common. Why do you think there is a "trucker shortage"? It's because not enough people are dumb enough to fall for this jewish scam of a "job".

You need to have mental fortitude and enough arm strength to turn the wheel.

Beyond that, if you're a driver: You don't have to load the truck. You'll be a better hire if you can at least lock things down, maybe do some maintenance, but they aren't required.

But spending long hours on the road, you'll more than likely learn how to do most of the work on maintaining your rig.

$3.50 an hour? Never heard of a trucking company paying by the hour.

At .25 per mile and 50 miles an hour, that is $12.50 an hour. Some hours you will do better, some a little less. You only loose money when you are sitting at a dock or waiting for a return load. Some companies actually compensate for down time, especially waiting for a return load. I'm not saying your going to get rich, but you aren't going to starve to death either.
