The EU Parliament has voted 285-281 in favour of a measure calling on EU member states to "drop any criminal charges against Edward Snowden, grant him protection, and consequently prevent extradition or rendition by third parties, in recognition of his status as whistle-blower and international human rights defender."
Unfortunately for the habbening, it is a non-binding vote, and probably won't do much to cancel the extradition agreements that all European nations have with the US.
Snowden is currently chilling in Russia.
The Snowden vote was part of a larger discussion in which the parliament voted 342-274 in favour of doing more re: the mass surveillance revelations of the past few years.
MEPs also spoke highly of the cancelling of the Safe Harbour agreement which allowed EU citizens digital data to be stored on servers located in the US.
