CBC did an entire episode about this. Its fucking ridiculous... If you ever worked in a store, you know each product has its own sku, and theirs packaging, placement, advertising, etc.. etc... etc... that relates to the cost...
Even if the 2 products, outside of the packaging, are EXACTLY the same, there is still different costs to produce/advertise/sell the thing. And as a consumer, its YOUR responsibility to figure out whats the best value. If you're a stupid cunt whos too feeble minded to grab the mens razor(which by the way is DIFFERENT than the womens. The cartridge on them are surrounded with lotion[not just a tiny strip] and is more flexible to contour legs) then you really cant complain.
Most men dont give a fuck about packaging or product presentation. Most men(according to that same CBC program) prefer a good value over anything else, usually buying whatever is cheapest, which is a MASSIVE deal for designing/pricing a product as they dont exhibit brand loyalty as strongly as women. The sheick razor being 5cents cheaper than the gillette will actually effect sales more considerably than if the womens razor is still more expensive than its competition.
tl;dr - Women are like children. Dont try to explain shit to them. Your time is too valuable.
