> The body of a motorist who landed on a freeway sign after he was ejected from a vehicle following a crash in the Griffith Park area Friday morning was identified as that of a 20-year-old Burbank man.
> The deadly incident occurred on the southbound 5 Freeway, just north of the 134 Freeway overpass. The California Highway Patrol first reported the crash around 7 a.m.
> The victim's body was covered with a sheet and fire officials worked to remove it from the sign in the 9 a.m. hour.
> "We think that this driver was driving at a high rate of speed, and collided with another vehicle and, as a result of that collision, flipped over, overturned," said CHP Officer Edgar Figueroa on scene. "The driver of that vehicle was ejected onto the freeway traffic sign."
