Why would Chinese depict Jesus as looking more Asian? Why would Northern Europeans depict Jesus looking more Nordic? Etc. etc. historical art of other peoples and analyses back then depict people as looking more like their own citizens. I would look more at how Persians depicted themselves or described their own features.
