Realistically, was there any way for Nazi Germany to win in it's geopolitical position?

It's fair to say after the rise of the Third Reich that war in Europe was inevitable; more of an "when, not if" situation, both with the West and with the USSR.

Realistically, what could Hitler have done to defeat both Britain/France and Russia?

Stalingrad. About the same number of Nazi troops died in that one city as on the whole Western front. If they'd not been so obsessed with it they could've beaten the USSR. If that had happened, they could then have made France impenetrable.

Britain maintained naval and air supremacy and so it was unlikely that Hitler could have invaded Britain successfully, but once he was secure in Europe we couldn't have done shit either.

Also he should've found a way to make Italians less shit at fighting.

Nope. From the beginning, Germany could have never won the war. They never could have held on to all that territory. They lost the Battle of Britain decisively before they declared war on the USSR and before Lend-Lease was even enacted.

The only way one could conceivably argue that Germany would have won is if they change the parameters of the situation and morph it into an entirely different reality. Because realistically, they weren't even close. Not in terms of the things that matter; production, manpower and raw resources.

No academic historians argue otherwise (even though they avoid historical what-ifs).

Nothing. The very nature of the reich was not sustainable. Even if it had conquered and defeated the allies and the USSR, there was no way it'd last as long as maybe the 1950s.

Nazism envisioned a world of total servitude and submission to one man. All personal ambitions would become null and void, people's liberty would have been relegated to servile adherence.

It was never going to work. Not with that many people, globally, for very long.

Absolutely simplistic and reductionist view. You really think you can narrow down the reason for the loss to a single sentence? Because historians agree that the refocusing was not critical; like almost everything else in war, the loss was due to broad differences in strategy and the capability of each country to field their armies (or in this case, air forces).

There is no reality in which the Nazis win. None. Even if they had delayed the war by however many years people think it would have taken. Nazi scientists weren't any more exceptional than British, American or Soviet scientists. The Nazi economy was unsustainable and its failure was anticipated, understood and unpreventable.

It takes a big jump to argue that the Nazis could have won. First, they would have to take Britain. Somehow. Then, they would have to either not declare war on the Soviets (which was largely a forgone conclusion) OR somehow defeat them. And then finally, in this magical reality, America would either have to sit by and watch as Europe fell (unlikely; public opinion would have been swayed as the intensity of the war increased) or would have to lose to a nation a quarter of its size, population and industrial capabilities.

This is why I think you think it's a game of Civilization. Like, Germany just 'takes' France and most of Europe and just sits on it for a century... gathering resources... like what the fuck does that even mean? Are you fifteen?
