Here's a question to all you supporters of right-wing / fascist / authoritative policies and peoples:
Suppose in the future, when technology allows us to read everyone's mind, turn the physical body into engines to power supercomputers and all sorts of things, determine everyone's characteristics prior to birth, artificially create other humans on the fly, clone and 3D print anything we want, heal any disease instantly, etc... only a small group of people end up obtaining this technology, and the other 7 billion people on the planet either die or become slaves incapable of killing themselves and drugged and genetically enhanced so their lifespans last for hundreds of years, with zero privacy and zero downtime in their lives, no prospects, no families or human connection to speak of. The world becomes how it is in The Matrix and it is run not by some machines, but by a single family of humans who were at the right place at the right time and had the means to execute this massive overthrow of the world.
Now, I am not questioning whether you should keep supporting what you do. What I want to know is how you would react to this situation, considering you would be one of those 7 billion either dead or eternally suffering. The ones in control show no mercy, they don't care at all about you. There is no military to enlist to, everything is run by machines. What would you do in that situation? How would you feel about it?
