Also, Bill Cosby is seen as a force for family-friendly wholesome-values entertainment and this makes him seem like a huge hypocrite. Cosby getting into the scandel he's in would still garner the same attention if it was Bob Ross or Mr. Rodgers (or the best example, Jimmy Savile). The main thing though is that it's still going on and there can be debate about it.
Jared, on thr other hand, is not a piller of morality: he's a snakeoil spokesman. Also, Jared has hard-as-fuck objective evidence he is a kiddie-fiddler, supposedly even more evidence is gonna be publically available (like audio). The fucking plea deal is basically , "Look, it's clear as day you're fucked. However, we still would have to abide by the law and go through all the long expensive proceedings to get you convicted (not to mention there is a very possible miniscule chance you can get away with it like OJ, R. kelly, du Pont heir, and etc.). So how about you help us cut through all that bullshit and in exchange we lessen your punishment."
