Why does America have the biggest alcohol problem despite the fact they have one of the highest drinking ages in the world? Why do you never hear about kids dying from alcohol poisoning or in drunk driving accidents in first world countries?

Also what the fuck is with blue laws? Why is it still illegal to purchase a certain chemical in a meaningless span of 24 hours?
