Recently /stg/ moved from /vg/ to /aco/, unfortunately because of that the entire thread became super diluted and refused to discuss any games and instead reveled in shit posts.

Many people were not happy about that and created a separate thread to try to discuss all western games, but for some odd reason the janitor and mods would always take it down without any reason, going back to /stg/ we found out that op was the janitor and removes any game he dosent agree with as well as the other thread

So its become a zero-sum situation of
"you cant discuss games here"
"you cant make your own thread to discuss games"
"discussing any change to the op will also get you banned"

What do?

Please change this useless "feature" of 4chan. It was originally introduced by moot as an experiment, but he never followed through with it, and it has obviously failed us spectacularly. On boards where OPs can't bump their own threads, the content has become incredibly stale. For example, on /a/ and /pol/, any new and unique discussion ends up dying because nobody knows enough about it to click on a thread with 0 posts, and you end up with dozens of the same threads getting re-posted every morning. It gets very boring, and at least these two boards have been ruined by OPs not being able to bump their own threads.

It used to be that the OP could start out a discussion by samefagging - feigning to be two or three different people, so as to demonstrate how interesting the topic is. Now, we have it so OPs can't do this, and also the IP meter tells how many actual "people" there are in the thread, which is annoying. Please unfuck this website, Hiro-tan.

How to deal with pathological shiposters? Bans are ineffective as many are savvy and just evade.

What if instead of banning, the mods could make it so that the next time someone attempted to post, they were met with a large/fullscreen screamer with audio? I think after the first couple times of shitting themselves, these people might actually start trying to contribute quality posts, or failing that, fuck off.

So is the reason theres no /fur/ board because furries werent enough of a problem like MLP, or because furries didn't whine enough like /a/ and their nipples?
