Hey Hiro

There's been a flurry of threads calling for the deletion of /pol/. Nothing new. There are a group of people on 4chan that want to be able to tell their friends they go on 4chan. They don't want people to think they're racists and Nazis. These people are the worst contributors to the site. The reason /pol/ is a right wing and racist board is because those people made the best OC, had the best arguments, and generally contributed more and higher quality things to the board than the liberals. So now we're going to have /his/. Already those people are complaining that it's going to be /pol/ 2.0. If you don't want that, make better threads. Contribute better OC. Be...right? Also general /his/ guidelines and comfy thread.

There is a r/a/dio thread on /a/ right now, you fags had better not delete it.

Is there a setting to remove this last part of the URL whenever I browse? Before my browser history only displayed 4chan threads by their number, which alone means nothing when the thread is deleted. But now the URL actually gives the text from the post, which compromises browsing privacy. Maybe that was the intention, I don't know. But there's got to be a fix to it.
Anonymous
What's the purpose of thread slugs in the url anyway? Why not good old fashioned post numbers and leave it at that?

>>313272 they are just like all slugs, to get a basic idea of the contents of a hyperlink
I agree it's kinda pointless on 4chan though

If you use 4chan X you can use the original URL layout where it's just numbers.
Anonymous

>>313269 If someone looked at your browsing history before, all they'd see is numbers. If they tried to click on the link, it'd lead to 404. Now, however, it puts part of the text from the post in the URL, so anyone looking at your history can see what the thread is about, even if it's 404'd. And your browsing history is never REALLY private, is it?

Why do people on 4chan get so upset when you make fun of Christianity?
