Ever since last year, people realize that it just invites anons who shouldn't be drawing board tans to began with. The good artists usually draw at the request of the anons wanting different non canon pairings. It'll take some time for the artists to realize they're being played by trolls.
It could have been better if not for anons blaming /v/ or /pol/ users for the shitfest last year. Autism was so high people failed to realize that outside the board tan fanfiction are just users trolling for shits and giggles.
There's usually a set group of board tan artists drawing board tans, so no one gets confused with fanart and the canon. Canonically, without the Winter Ball, the pairings would be as followed:
/m/ and /toy/
/k/ and /an/ (hunting pairing)
/a/ and /v/ (tsundere pairing. also /a/nons drew for /v/ during the earlier board tan era.)
/co/ and /ck/ (/co/ artists drew for /ck/.)
/tg/ and /x/ (/tg/ had active artists that drew for /x/, so this pairing is similar to the /co/ck/ pairing)
/d/ with anyone because anons want porn
/fit/fa/cgl triangle
And that's all that I can name off the top of my head. Usually /pol/ (/new/) is depicted with /int/ so the ball wouldn't be so catastrophic and people can draw other pairings.
>>295317>People design avatars for their boards that capture the boards "personality".Depends. Some of the board tans are created from the board tan artists and they make it a hobby to update or keep track of the board tan. You see the same artist drawing for /cgl/fa/fit/ (aappleddapple?), /mlp/ (LSA), /fit/ (SIR), /co/ (Psu), /v/ (3AB), /x/ (various), etc). /pol/'s board tan is usually controversial because people assume that other artists are drawing him, when in reality it was just one artist drawing sporadically for 4-5 years up until last year's Winter Ball. He created the /new/ tan after the board was axed, so in reality anons never really decided on the tan. Also he wants to be left alone.
