manga on /a/

It's supposed to be /a/ - Anime & Manga and for a while manga has been getting shafted

The cooldown for posting makes it very difficult to be able to post manga on /a/. A single manga chapter will take over 20 minutes, let a lone if someone wants to dump the first chapters of a manga they find interesting will take well over an hour. I used to be able to dump a volume of a manga over the course of a night but now that is impossible .

Can the cooldown be fixed to address this problem?

Could always try 4chan.org/feedback at getting the mods' attention (although we all know the chance of that happening hovering around somewhere between 0-1%).

I do agree though that the post timer extension was a dumb move by having it also apply to image-dumps on /a/. I get that it was introduced to reduce "encourage more thoughtful, less chatroom-y replies" but damn it has made image dumps annoying.

8ch has a feature that lets you add multiple images to a post. /co/ does storytimes too; I think implementing something like that could help both boards out.

I'm glad posting a bunch of pics is difficult. I'm not against storytimes, but I visit these boards for discussion. If you must share, posting a page along with a download link would accomplish the same goal without drowning the board.

Keep in mind also that the Japanese don't have this scanlaton culture we have. I doubt your argument would be convincing to Hiroyuki.

There are separate cooldowns for when you are and aren't posting an image.

By that, I only meant I'm not going to froth at the mouth, spout memes, and hurl insults when I see one (this seems to be more and more common all over 4chan). Some storytimes are enjoyable. I'm just perfectly okay with there being a mechanism in place that dissuades them without banning them.

I'm also making a value judgement here. The benefits of having that wait time far outweigh the negatives it causes to your storytimes.

The cooldown is a sitewide problem.
It's especially bad on /vg/, where the timer can go as high as 90 seconds between posts. It makes talking to someone a pain in the fucking ass and almost makes people not want to post at all.

The timers used to be 30 seconds for posting, and 60 seconds if you sage.
Why anyone thought it was a good idea to change that shit is beyond me. Especially considering that we have Captcha and 4chan passes.

Speaking of 4chan passes, you're a sucker if you pay money to post here and have to wait 60 seconds between posts. Enjoy getting fucked over.

Working as intended; /vg/ is plagued by lightspeed threads that nobody can ever keep up with. Quality really goes downhill and things become repetitive when nobody ever bothers reading the thread.

The problem with timing for storytimes is it's not clear how to give them a fast lane without making it abusable. Imagine having people throw in unrelated comic pages so they can post "lol tbh fam" more often.
