Why are 4chan images so boring nowadays?
Back in the old days, part of the fun of this website was really just the pictures which got uploaded here. You would see all sorts of strange, funny and unique pics from literally all corners of the internet. Everything from comic strips, weird newspaper pages, screencaps from retarded japanese game shows, dumb shoops, cool/funny anime artwork or just plain old photographs of someone being an idiot. Oh, and cats. Lots of cats.
But now? Now the only pics that get uploaded here are the pics that came from here. Stupid little reaction pics and a whole bunch of variations on memes. Which is fine, I guess, but none of it is particularly interesting to look at. Outside the lingering imagedumb boards like /wg/ or /c/, I don't imagine anyone really coming to 4chan for the pics anymore.
