>>304603I'd probably have to agree with that, 2007 was the time when /b/ and the memes broke containment and leaked into the real world thanks to news reports. Suddenly anything on /b/ would pretty much be regurgitated endlessly by the rest of the internet until it became absolutely unbearable and the obsession of the memes would become a meme itself.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, memes used to be my escape from reality, but now memes have pretty much taken over reality, literally any young adult of 18-23 I see outside the internet is a meme spewing faggot, and now I'm escaping from the memes, sometimes thinking of better days when man and meme lived in a less bad world.
