Sage being visible isn't necessary for it to function correctly as intended, and in fact only reinforces the misguided notion that it can be used as a downvote.

Make sage have a dedicated check button labeled sage in the post box instead of being a function option, and newfags will immediately know it exists without it being visible to others.
