Complaining about /b/ is silly. It's basically nothing more than an outlet for shitposters, and having a board with nearly no rules for shitposting to spill over into helps relieve moderation on other boards.

I can only imagine that everyone who reminisces about how /b/ "used to be good" are just seeing it through rose coloured glasses, remembering all the nostalgic memories they had since /b/ is typically the first board a person visits save originalfigs. I can't imagine anyone ever thought of /b/ as their primary board.

So is there any merit to a random board besides as run off for shitposts on other boards? Perhaps a miscellaneous board that prohibits topics that do have a dedicated board already?
