For one thing, it's way too late to stop its influence on /vp/, especially considering that Pokemon Clover project and just how the rest of the board is. The best you should ask for is mods actually moderating the threads, deleteing shitposting and offtopic discussion but, again, it's way too late for that.
Another thing being that if they banned it it'd just be another example of mods ignoring the community, like when they started cracking down on drawthreads and shit, which made many of the "better" posters leave.

Constantly on the frontpage, it's a nest of shitposting which seeps into people not knowing when to stop and posting like idiots in other threads and being "protected" by other people that post like idiots to a point where it affects the whole board and it becomes the "norm" and anyone who questions it is drowned out. This is how you now get peoplewho just casually use "fam", "smh" and "tbh" despite less than half a year ago no one was talking like this.
