Everytime in recent memory that there have been widespread complaints of Captcha shitting its pants I never personally notice any thing different about it. Still works fine for me.

Google's CAPTCHA is affected by cookies and Google accounts. Log out and clear your browsing history, cookies, cache, etc. and try again. Alternatively, try private browsing mode to see if you get different CAPTCHAs.

You do not have anonymity anyway for everyone having access to your IP(like mods) and even normal users when you use any image because we can search the has or the filenam in archives.

It does happen, but extremely rarely and most cases I've seen are just for calling out people constantly posting the same thread over and over. If someone's really hellbent on stalking your ass wherever you go, recognizing specific posters from their image choices and general writing style is easier than you'd think, filenames aren't really required for that
