I wouldn't want to bring a child into the world unless the circumstances were right, though. I realize that the overwhelming majority of humans weren't and still aren't brought into the world under good circumstances, and it does work out for some of them, but it still just seems wrong to me. A person can't suffer if they were never alive, but when a person is brought into the world it's a gamble whether they will find happiness or just suffer, and it's just not right to take that gamble unless you can at least sway things in their favor.
I'm basically a complete failure and I'll most likely never be in a position to find a wife, have kids, or even have any significant purpose in life. The least I can do is not bring someone else into the world to possibly suffer the same fate.
