i personally slack off and only work like 5-6 hours a day, most people who make it to this level (especially at a small company like me) are really into it and lose their whole week unless business is slow.

A typical day is a meeting with the boss, sometimes a meeting with the research and manufacturing team and maybe a collaborator, then I prepare materials for like an hour or two and do experiments for another 2. Supposed to write a bunch of shit down but I just keep it in my head and then either give a powerpoint or just tell someone else the most important results. I make simple shit anyway, it's diagnostic tests on paper like you see with pregnancy kits but for diseases.
