Is there a noticeable difference in how people act that gets them laid?

Okay I know that was a retardedly broad question and the answer is obviously yes but here's why I'm asking

>weed comes up
>start talking about it, mention I used a vape to smoke (however the first time I smoked was last summer, so pretty recently)
>later on one of the dudes looks at me
>I don't believe you smoke man
>I ask why
>You just dont seem like the type
>other partner comes back "Yo josh do you think anon ever smoked wed before?"
>I feel crushed because it must have been my beta personality
>josh asks us if we wanna smoke a J in his room but I have work and the now they're smoking weed together

How did he know I wasn't cool? What can I do to not come across as a loser?

Is this why I'm a khv at 18?
Is this why I have no friends as a commuting freshman?

Even my senior year roommate (at boarding school) said in the yearbook that I would end up alone in a dakr apartment with no windows
