Good lube is essential for slippery fun with sex toys, masturbation, and old fashioned sexual intercourse. Different lubricants can feel different. Water-based lubes are required for use with the Fleshlight and most sex toys, because oil-based lubes will degrade the silicone material.

Personal lubricants can be expensive, and some store bought varieties aren't even that good anyways. Fortunately, there is an easy recipe to make your own water-based lube that is both awesome and inexpensive. Personally, I find this lube to be better than almost any other I have tried, including many store bought versions. It is so easy and cheap to make this lube that virtually anyone can do it.

You only need two common ingredients to make this amazing lubricant. Xanthan Gum and Vegetable Glycerin. Both of these items are all natural and are commonly used in many food products. Xanthan Gum is a natural thickener and Vegetable Glycerin is a mild sweetener and is also used for dry skin and has a viscous, oil-like texture.

Also included in this lube recipe is an optional preservative, which will significantly increase the shelf life.

Recipe:
1 part Xanthan Gum
6 parts Vegetable Glycerin
18 parts Water

Optional Preservative:
1 part per 250
Citric Acid
Sodium Benzoate

This recipe is broken down into "parts" so that it can be used with any measurement. So what it means is that if you use a tablespoon as your measurement, each tablespoon is a part and so you will need 1 tablespoon of xanthan gum, 6 tablespoons of vegetable glycerin, and 18 tablespoons of water. This totals to 25 tablespoons, and so your optional preservative will be 1/10 of a tablespoon (1 part per 250).
