Hey guys. I need advice, but /adv/ sucks so I'm posting it here.

I'm applying for a sort of internship over the summer at a university, and I have to write essays about my interests, skills, why I'd be useful, etc.

So what are they looking for? I want to maximize my chance of getting in.
