I think it's pretty presumptuous to say you would or won't experience this one way or another, unless you are already very old.

Someone who is very young probably has a better chance of seeing very radical life extension then someone who is middle aged, but when you start dicussing science that is farther off than the near future, it becomes more conjecture than is useful for really discussing how likely it is to occur, and more just useful as incentive for providing a goal to work towards.

Thing is when you think about it, what separates radical life extension from completely getting rid of aging related damage? Like, once they do get radical life extension, how is that any different from you just becoming immortal anyway? There's nothing else to die from, and you can just keep re-using the same method over and over again no?

If they invent this, the people becoming immortal would absolutely need to be forcibly and permanently sterilized so that they cannot procreate.
