my grandpa was around before the pill industry boomed here (south east europe). he had a shop where he made his own medicine from herbs and shit. you had to be a damn botanist back then if you wanted to get into pharmacy. and yet today natural medicine and plants are totally disregarded as a form of medicine. and yet I have a grandma who takes no medicine and collects herbs (categorizes them and shit). she's like 89 years old, kind of fragile, but totally vital and sane.

all these students taking so many pills is worrying. can you not read the numerous side-effects that could happen OP? how do you think these pills work?
if you feel unbalanced with your body, try working out, eating better etc. don't take pills to study harder, train yourself to do it. it's not impossible, just takes time and organization.

here's an example: say you wanna learn how to play an instrument, and you wanna know something about it. you start googling around and you notice the guitar seems nice, so you go on youtube to hear it. and you see this wonderchild (probably asian) shredding like there's no tomorrow at the age of 5. and here you are, 35 years old, trying to be only 1% as good as that kid, and it's still hard. so you either give up or try to find a quick solution because the world is moving so fast and you're aware that you're not getting any younger and that maybe your time has already passed.

same analogy can be made for school and studying. I see 13year olds getting into universities I couldnt dream about, and as much as I'm aware that most of this is child abuse and probably has absolutely nothing to do with better genetics, it still makes you feel like shit for not doing as much as you can with your time. it's very depressing.

the thing is you can't go by other people's experiences and expectations, but we still feel pressured to be very successful, so a lot of them take concentration pills, headache pills,...because it gives a quick solution and it has no adverse immediate side effects. quick fix to make you a superhuman. but in 10 years your body will be crying.

another problem is most doctors recommend various pills instead of learning how the body actually works. they don't recommend treatments, they recommend pills. most doctors have NO IDEA how these pills work! a pharmacist does though.

I'm a PhD student in pharmaceutical science, the amphetamines are the only real "smart" drugs worth talking about. I was a stupid biochem undergrad when I tried these shitty racetams, totally not worth it. A huge problem we face in pharmaceutics is bio-availability, ie making sure the drug gets to where it needs to in adequate concentrations. When I bought these supplements they were in powder form, already a red flag. I doubt many of these drugs can get to the blood without getting metabolized, let alone have an effect. Plus, since these are supplements, there are no real regulations, pharmacological studies, or quality control procedures.

tl;dr trick your brain into studying with self-induced high levels of dopamine (use adderall) or don't bother.

I got far greater results by fixing my diet, and correcting some vitamin deficiencies I had.

I took SEMAX yesterday morning, 600mcg. I ended up cleaning all of the sinks, the toilet, the shower, washing the sheets and comforter, vacuuming, mopping, doing laundry, changing the a/c filter and I loved it.

I'm not american. I bought them off of some guy who got a script, but then I went to the psychologist. I legit need them though, I went to the doc and I was 100% honest about everything (other than having used drugs before) and got diagnosed with ADHD which I think is a correct diagnosis.
