I'm writing down notes on relating the lab scattering angle to the center of mass scattering angle using John Taylor's Classical Mechanics. Using the picture I posted, we're supposed to arrive at an equation that relates the two angles by the tangent of the lab scattering angle, and I'm not sure how to do that. Any help would be great.
