I have notice no one really tells the truth. What is the psychology behind the fact that even thought people don't like something or someone they don't say anything. If you do your an arsehole like what makes this so isn't it counter productive to do this

never thought id see my self in jail with a dui, but its quite often an experience to alot of people.

never thought id see my self in a waiting room for a cat scan.

when employers ask that question, you are supposed to say that you are well within the start of the career you want to be in or in the field. and then they dont call you back.

I just don't get how everyone can stand it. Everyone is lying about everything and it's impossible to feel connect with things because people just lie all the time. I don't get it all the white lies are fucken annoying as shit if you don't like something just say? Why do people do this.

People don't say anything about things they don't like because of the Golden Rule: "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

In their opinion, it's better to just privately dislike something. That way, people who like what you don't are able to enjoy it. If you genuinely have cause to speak out against it, feel free to because there might be substance to your argument.

For example if a bunch of people are getting tattoos and you don't like tattoos in general, keep it to yourself. If you know that the tattoo parlor they're all going to is unsanitary, speak out about it.

you do know that you can pick your social circle yourself?
that includes filtering out people based on wether they are open and honest or not
if you find yourself surrounded by deceiving cunts, chances are you are exactly where you want to be, lest you would change something about it

Logically I would think it's just a very low effort way of continuing a conversation.
Either they give a bullcrap response like usual or they have an actual interesting story to tell, either way the conversation moves on and you didn't do anything.

Speak for yourself, anon. If someone asks me whether I like something and I don't, that's what I say. Some people think I'm an asshole, others really appreciate the honesty. I've had people ask my opinion about things because they say I'm the only one they know who they can trust not to bullshit them and I'm proud of that.

Only somewhat related and I feel like shit for doing it, but I told my father (who was a corporate manager for years and had to retire because lupus) that I would never trust any kinda salesman or manager because I thought that anyone who regularly manipulated people was not a good person in my book.

This was in a conversation on why I'd rather be a code monkey or some kinda advanced-degree-grunt than go into finance or business where people would make a shit load of money while using very little analytical/technical skills
