I'm still in babby physics, but I've gone through SICP and feel pretty comfortable with Scheme.

just from looking at the cover, I can tell it's one of those lib arts style engi/physics books. Be prepared for 3 pages of history lessons and useless background info for each line of useful info.

You need a very good understanding of variational calculus, linear algebra, and overall mathematical maturity. Its not for kids looking for supplemental reading to first year physics.
