The question is: should we let them grow, or should we colonize them before they have the chance?

Pondering this is comforting, because it discounts the possibility of an aggressive alien species. If there were a nearby alien species set on colonizing planets, we wouldn't exist.

Yeah I too just like to shitpost, but I just had to wonder if that heavy worlders post is bullshit because obviously single stage solid booster rockets aren't the best way to get into orbit by any stretch of the imagination. Well, maybe if you live on a low-gravity world. Still had to wait like 2 hours to post that though.

We won't be stupid enough to try to invade. Why would we need planetary shit when it's all easily available in space? Hell, you tell a planet "we'll give you this tech but we need half you lithium reserves" they'll jump on it.
