Your personal favorite and/or most influential scientist in your life?

Not necessarily the "greatest" or most accomplished scientist, just the one whose work has shaped or changed your life in a positive way.

For me, it is E.O. Wilson. His area of expertise is ants (no idea what -ology that is), but his study of ants lead him to a fairly groundbreaking approach to the way natural selection works and the importance of tribalism in human evolution.
