Hey /sci/. Fuck the rules I really need help with my math homework.
I'm doing a proof via Mathematical Induction: For all n is an element of positive intergers, sigma i=1 to n 8^i = (8^(n+1) - 8) / 7.
I have my base case and all that but I'm stuck on the algebra trying to figure out how to make
(8^(n+1) - 8) / 7) + 8^(n+1) = 8^(n+1+1) - 8) / 7
Please save me /sci/ you're my only hope
