speculating irrefutable proof is an oxymoron. if something is proven irrefutably, it no longer needs speculation. If the credibility of something is still open to speculation then it's not proven. There are no "maybe"s with proofs.

Well, they could prove GR wrong (i.e. incomplete approximation) by showing up in a FTL spaceship. That would be cool. Seems unlikely though.

Only a fool claims absolute certainty regarding any particular material (or immaterial) claim in reality.
