Okay. A lot of books say that the speed of light is a constant. But... a constant from what reference system?
Just imagine that speed was constant to the centre of the universe. The position of that point in space could be calculated.
Why didn't this happen yet /sci/?

speed of light is relative. The light can't go faster than the terminal velocity because it hits the aether particles in space.

Light speed is relative. There is no absolute maximum speed for particles to travel. Otherwise that would imply god.

Also pressure from the aether particles is what causes gravity. There is lower pressure around objects, causing other objects to be driven towards them.

Then, imagine there is a body traveling at c/2 (Half speed of light), and from that body we release another ray of light. From the original reference frame, will that last ray move at 3c/2 or at c?

or just google it. For what you're talking about look up lorentz transforms. Paradoxes in general are pretty fun too. Plenty of resources online

The speed of light is constant from different frames of reference you might measure different wavelengths, red shift/blue shift, the Doppler effect, but you would not measure the speed to be different.
