can someone help me solve this?
solve exponential equations symbolically:
2.5e^-1.2x = 1
im pretty sure i am doing it right, but i keep getting the wrong answer, according to the book

$2.5e^{-1.5x}=1$ log both sides and use log properties to get $\ln(2.5)-1.2x=0 \implies x=\frac{\ln(2.5)}{1.2}$

my book says the answer is x = -(5/6)ln0.4

i keep getting x = ln0.4/1.2

you could always just plug the solutions in and see which value comes out as 1.

using these rules:
Solve the exponentias equation:
Step1) Isolate the exponential expression on one side of the equation.
Step2) Take a logaithm of each side of the equation.
Step3) Apply either the inverse property or the power rule.
Step4) solve for the variable
