That there may not even be a full stop at bodily death, rather life and death is a cycle, and my actions mean something in the grand scheme of things, that comforts me that death is an inevitability, but so is life. We're just vessels carrying the gift of conscience per-se.
Another way I see it is that if death is the end, then there isn't any worth in fearing it. It's going to happen, and you can live with fear, but you can't die with it. Dying is the cessation of You. So everything you live with is the only thing that's real, in death you don't carry any of those emotions with you, you just cease.
It's nothing to be bitter about. Rather just something to make you realize that life is all that matters.
