Object-oriented Analysis.

I write with pencil and paper to sketch out the relationships of my classes and interfaces.

I even sketch small diagrams, depicting the time flow of my objects.

Without pencil and paper,
the task of finding the right Design Patterns for my code is much more vague, and error prone.

I am the originator of the post which you replied to.

I have never met 1 CS major who knew even what a Singleton was, let alone how to implement one.

I can only assume by your post that you have never worked on a large coding project? (a medium to large software company)

If you do not understand how important OOA is,
then my advice is to partner up with someone who does. (assuming you are a coder)

Not knowing OOA is a bit like walking into a basement with thousands of wires, entangled, and having to untangle them by hand... in the dark.
