2: Life already has a definition and it includes things like breeding/propagation
3: Chemical oscillators oppose (I am still not comfortable about the word "oppose") local entropy though nobody would call that life
3a: When chemical oscillators were first discovered some disbelieved it since it would mean local entropy would decrease and too many at the time failed to understand the distinction between local and global entropy.
