No. Although like the other guy said every useful branch (at least as far as I know) requires some type of axiomatic system to build itself off of, axioms aren't blind assumptions so much as they are the rules of the game we're deciding to play. If you don't want to play the game most people are playing or if you think you can come up with a better game you're free to try and get as far as you can with another set of rules or no set at all.

Math is about deductive reasoning, not inductive reasoning. It's the opposite of faith by nature.

Math requires the least amount of faith, because it's been consistent for 14 billion years and counting

but it's good to question what you're learning. if I ignore it now and just have faith, will I remember to go back to it later on? will I still be wanting to figure out why it's true or will I need to pay the bills?
