i tried setting $d\theta = 0[\math] and <script type="math/tex">d\phi = 0[\math and then saying <script type="math/tex"> dt=d \tau[\math], and saying that g is <script type="math/tex">\frac{dr}{d \tau}[\math], but im not getting anywhere. so either what im doing is total bullshit (quite likely) or im too drunk to do algebra (also quite likely).<br /><br />maybe i would get somewhere with euler-lagrange equations? surely not, that would only give geodesics... I have a really shit lecturer for this and his notes are just as bad, so im literally picture related$
