When trying to choose which drug to try, there are three questions to ask yourself:
1. Does this drug have a long history of human useage? Because something that came out of the lab a few years ago, we know little about. But something that's been time-tested by cultures worldwide for millenia will have a wealth of history and culture around it to give you an idea what it does and what it is.
2. How akin is this drug to the chemistry in your body? The triptamine family already includes all your neuro chemistry. You consume these drugs, like dmt, which lasts 15 minutes when smoked, and mushrooms, which last 3-4 hours after eaten, and your body knows exactly what to do with them because these chemicals are almost just like the ones your body is always using. Whereas something like lsd or mescaline, which can take 6-12-18 hours depending on doseage, gives your body a much harder time dealing with it. Hence the prolonged effect.
and 3. Does it grow naturally? If so, it was likely intended by nature to be consumed by someone, and since they are the PSYCHoactives, and we have the biggest most complex PSYCHe in town as far as we can tell, that might just be us.
