If you're legally blind, you can get services that will either help you find a job that will suit your disability and provide transportation services, or you can get some form of SSI disability payments so while you don't have to technically work, you're still getting income.
Likewise, you can always "self employ". If you can draw, write, or do any sort of creative thing, you could work online writing articles or selling your art. It's not a stable income but it still qualifies as a job. If not, there's other things you can do online that will make a little bit of money (usually under minimum wage though), but things like search engine analysis are hard to get into and Amazon Turk has a low payout rate.
I have vision problems too, but mine are from a disorder that also causes things like severe joint pain and bone deformities. I write, draw, and do Ebay sales.
