Brady has called Joe the best ever as well so I think it's just one of those things. Nobody wants to say the other is better because they are clearly the best two to ever to play the game.

Its funny how people call Brady a system babby when Young took right over and had success.

Montana was benched in the 1987 playoffs for Steve Young, but nobody seems to know that on here.

I wouldn't say Jennings was great. Driver was undrafted. Jordy has one top 5 season and Cobb has one top 10 season. Comparing these people to Moss and Gronk is a bit of a reach. Right now teams are double teaming Gronk with little success while double teaming an injured Cobb is shutting him out of the game

Putting older QBs on this list is not a good way to go. They should go on a separate list cause it was such a different game. I have 2 list of all time greats. Those who played in the SB era and those who did not.

Mistakes

Marino, Manning too high.

Staubach too low, Aikman not included.

To me it's a classic "best" athlete vs. "greatest" athlete.

The best put up great stats, the greatest do incredible things in terms of winning or in context. El G was the best miler of all time but was never the greatest until he got Olympic gold.
