I think a new head has been carved into the Mt. Rushmore of American Sports.
No arguing it anymore. Brady, unlike any football player before him (from Red Grange to Unitas to Brown to Montana), has become bigger than the sport itself and has entered folk hero status in American popular culture like the other 4. And just like the other 4, people come to watch "Brady" not the Patriots or football. Manning and Favre were close, but they didn't win enough.
I'm not even a Brady fan, but this guy is the greatest sportsman of all-time. Better than Gretzky, better than Jordan, better than Phelps, Bolt, that manlet cricket player, Tiger, Jack, and every povertyball player who's ever lived.
"It's not a world sport, murrifats!!11"
Doesn't matter. The NFL draws the top athletes from the most athletic country in the world. It's top tier is tougher to break into than povertyball's top tier. And we can rub the genie bottle and give every country on Earth a 100 year American football infrastructure, and Brady, even at this age, would easily win the World Cup.
You are witnessing history, my friends. Appreciate it even if you hate it.
