>>62989800>speeds are improving each season. doesn't have to be fast to be good racing eitherSo they're still slow. I agree that it's entertaining to watch, but that doesn't mean I'm going to take it seriously.
>not perfect by any means, but fan interaction benefits the sport quite a lot. this year fanboost has been nerfed by a significant amount so it should be less stridentThis series or the sport as a whole? Because it feels like Formula E is trying too hard to be "cool with the young people", with their locations and how they wouldn't shut up about the DJs and celebrities they had signed to perform last year. Fanboost feels like just another one of those things.
>if they didn't the races would have to be twice as short or twice as slow. again, the car changes could do with being improved but if the proposed removal of minimum pitlane times goes ahead it would help quite a bit. the pitstops do a lot to spice up the racing as well.I know about why they are doing the switch. I'm saying it looks silly.
>it's only just completed its first season, the FIA will no doubt up the amount of superlicense points the winner gets in time.Yeah, you can get points for winning the F2 Championship and that has been defunct since 2012. I don't think you're going to get points for this anytime soon. They even announced points for regional F4 championship, before F4 was even a thing. The FIA not doing the same for Formula E tells me that the FIA doesn't really rate Formula E.
So fun to watch, yes, but I'm not buying this whole "future of racing"-stuff they say this will be. At most, this all is just one huge testing series. Which is why I'm surprised someone like Vergne would race here as a full-time driver.
