>>63100534And yeah that's the whole point of the mets game plan. Although bartolo is seriously solid in the bullpen and throws ridiculous fastballs when it comes to movement. Don't forget that the pitching staff really came along because bartolo is a serious coach on the roster for the pitchers. He really helped degrom, matz, and syndergaard come along. He even helped Harvey with the pressure and helped familia and the bullpen really calm down while pitching and not become pressured under hitters counts.
The starters really needed that rest period after the nlcs because they need to go deep in innings. I think this is tone of the few teams that will do better in a WS because of their sweep in the nlcs despite the statistics.
And those are meme statistics anyway because the non sweep series were because those teams were simply of another caliber as compared to the other lcs winners. The Cubs did not suck and despite the errors defensively, the mets would have won those games anyway as they absolutely out played them.
Although the pitchers were lights out, they simply did not have their stuff and the movement on their fastballs(the reason they are such high caliber pitchers) was not there due to their exhaustion.
Like I said, it's going to be an absolutely amazing World Series. It will most likely go to game 7. The mets and KC are very well matched besides the bullpen(except for the fat knight). In turn the mets have the starting lineup advantage over pitching, but they will hit very similar to each other except for Murphy and Duda hitting homruns, but murph is a small ball hitter most of the time anyway.
No matter who wins or loses, I'm glad the mest would beat or lose to one of the most disciplined baseball teams in the majors. I'm sure KC non shitposters feel the same.
